OK this mayn't be the right thread but it cam from my ancestors so I thought I'd share some quotes I've found about being a 'redhead'

My granny always told me i could move my freckles by doing this...
Go outside on the first morning of may when the dew is still on the grass, wipe your hands on the grass and recite, "On this first morning of may, I wash my freckles away and where I put them i want them to stay!" She swears to this day that's how her friend got a freckled fanny. lol

Blondes are wild, brunettes are true,
but you never know just what a redhead will do!
Claudia

Excerpt from a letter from Graucho Marx to his son:

"According to the wire, you are resting well and are being taken care of by a nurse. I hope she is beautiful and that she has red hair. I don't know why, but whenever I dream of a nurse she always has red hair. Red hair makes a man want to recover his health quickly, so that he can get on his feet and the nurse off hers."

Blondes may have more fun but redheads are remembered".

“A trucker will slow down for a blonde, stop for a brunette but he'll back up 500 yards for a redhead!”

And my favourite ...

"While the rest of the species is descended from apes, redheads are descended from cats." MARK TWAIN

Hope you enjoy...

I must admit I have always had a thing about redheads but of blondes I am told they get dirty quicker.

You are right about getting seen in a crowd - was always the one that caught at school. Hated being 'ginger' when I was akid and as soon as I started loving it, it started fading so now it is part bottle - but it is still all there in side.
I was one of 7 and we were all carrot tops except for my eldest sister who was more chestnut.
I do think it looks better on girls than boys

We have a few redheads through Brian's side of the family, so when Jennifer was born with red hair, we weren't too surprised(quite pleased if truth be told) However, as it was just baby fluff, it all fell out, and was replaced by blonde.
Even stranger is Brian, who had black hair, which started to go grey at 15, and he has been completely white haired for many years now. But, if he skips shaving for a few days, his facial hair is noticeably ginger!!

I love red hair on women - especially the real deep red. (I'm talking natural reds here, not the crimson colour that comes from a bottle! )

Men having reddish beards is quite common. I know several who have black head-hair and red facial hair - looks quite odd if they let the facial hair grow!
