Definition of success....Thought this was really nice - and having just read Elaine's quote about being positive, it seems quite relevant. We can all be successful in our lives, and make them worth livng....
To laugh often and love much; to win the respect of intelligent persons and the affections of children; to earn the approbation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to give one’s self; to leave the world a little bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden path or a redeemed social condition; to have played and laughed with enthusiasm and sung with exultation; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived….that is to succeed.

That's a good one Mandy.
I particularly like the,
"to find the best in others".....and that can sometimes be one of the hardest things to do.

I particularly liked the last phrase.
I agree too with Kathy, that finding the good in some people can be very challenging-I have to confess, if I have to dig too deep to find something worthwhile under layers of claptrap, then I just walk away. Not very nice of me, but life's too short!
