Hello from Australia!Hello everyone!
I found the group while researching forum services (I run a few support forums myself) and since 'positive change' for people living with the herpes virus is my passion, I thought I might find some inspiration here.
I am a peer support provider, run three forums, develop websites, and write (articles, eBooks and books). You might find my how to guide for support groups useful: http://www.livingsphere.com/supportgroups/guidebook.htm
A bit more about me is below.
Best wishes to all
Jeannie
Name: Jeannie May
Age: 46
Share my home with: my teenage son
What I like to do in 'me' time: research, write, provide peer support. . . read a good book occasionally
One thing I'd like to change about my life: to not have to do my 'real' job so I could spend more time doing the things I love - my support and awareness work
Something I am proud of achieving: taking my support groups to a 'professional level' and getting doctors and media to take them seriously. . . doing 'live TV' despite it being scary for me personally but such an amazing opportunity to promote the support groups and awareness for 'my cause'

Hi JeannieMay
very glad to have you on board. sounds like you've really got involved in your support work and you must be very proud that you have achieved so much. Will have a browse on your forum and hopefully pick up some tips.
I work in training, counselling and life coaching and have only recently started this group so anything I can pick up will be very useful
