Hi All

Wondering if this site has passed ts sell by date. Face book seems to be the way people kepp in touch these days.

Any thoughts - anyone.

Quite happy to keep it going if it is wanted but doesn't really seem needed any more

I think I am with you Helen....I feel that this has been a really nice place to be and now maybe it is time to move on.

Hope you get some more responses, so you can make an informed decision.

Would be a shame to let it go. Whilst facebook is fun, and a good way of keeping in touch, I'd never post anything terribly private or important there.

I agree with dingsy - I can't imagine another site where I would 'share' in the same way as here. If it's the end of era, so be it. However, I know I would miss the friendship and support of this 'friends group' xx

Been thinking the same about the foodies forum... I must admit, I am on Facebook a lot more than any other site now... it's where my friends are, all in one place. It would be a shame to close PC... but think the foodies might go the same way!

I'm happy to keep it going if that is what is wanted.

We can even 'give' it a different status. What I don't want is for people to think they have to keep coming on here because it is still here.

What I mean be a different status is that we see it as an occasional board rather than one that has to be checked daily.

There is a place at the bottom of the front page where you can opt to be sent an email whenever there is a new topic so that can be selected to make sure if someone does post something new it isn't missed. There is also an option on each thread to 'watch' this thread - you then get an email whenever someone posts to that thread and that cold be selected for specific important posts.

How does that sound

That's what I do now Helen.

I suppose this is also the time of year when people are on hols, and busy doing "summer"...we do have these ebbs and flows.

I am happy to carry on keeping an eye out, as I do with Foodies...I guess, if it ain't broke etc ...and if it becomes a noose around our necks we can send it to room 101

I know I don't come on as often as I used to but am very fond of it and don't really want to see it disappear altogether - but rather that than slowly fade away

I don't post much but I do keep up with everyone, and I'd miss it too, but there aren't many of us, perhaps we need a few more people?
