Depending on state of mind, that could sound very dodgy indeed

Mmm Yes I see what you mean - you can also 'succeed' in doing things that could be harmful to say the least.
I sense your determination has a healthy focus at the moment though Arlene, I'm impressed with your determination to be as positive as possible - And I love your sense of humour as I've said before - very very dry!

I love Arlene's humour too-hits the nail on the head so often. Hey, maybe you should try writing a comedy, Arlene? Seriously, a Roald Dahl type of short story, as he did in "Tales of the Unexpected"?

My humour is dry isn't it? Ah well. Wee bit of vodka will sort that out.
I haven't read Tales of the Unexpected. Is it any good?

It was Arlene. I no longer have it as I gave it to andylonsdale as we'd chatted about Dahl's adult literature. But I have another ("Someone Like You") which I'll send on to you. Back cover reads:
"Roald Dahls' particular brand of bizarre, alarming and disturbing storytelling has already attracted a huge following which can only be more disturbed, alarmed-and-thankfully-amused by 'Someone Like You'".
Haven't read it in ages, but remember being very impressed. Really think you could use your sense of humour to good advantage-although I imagine writing humourously must be difficult-think you could succeed, though!

Thanks, I'd love to try reading it.
The book I'm working on with Ben is humourous - very odd humour, which suits me! I just need to find a publisher for it now.
