I decided to start a new forum to discuss ethical issues. Topics may be personal; a 'What would you do in this situation?' scenario. Hypothetical - just to get the discussions going. Or, like the one I have posted; something that has happened elsewhere.

Disagreement is allowed, nay even encouraged, but please don't criticise anyone who has a different opinion from you - show respect to those who have had a different life experience and have therefore come to different conclusions.

Say 'I think' or 'I feel' .................... rather than 'everyone thinks. ........' etc.

Say, "This seems 'daft' to me' rather than 'Anyone who belives in such rubbish is daft'

Say 'I think it was wrong for x to do this' rather than 'x is bad for doing this'

Hope that all makes sense....... Any questions, please ask for clarification.

Remember
"The quality of communication lies in it's perception" can't remeber who said that but I think it is so true - In other words what you mean matters less than how the recipient understands it.

I would prefer not to have to delete in here but I will if disagreements become personal rather than issue oriented. As far as possible if these things happen accidently (I do know how easy that can be) posts will be edited rather than deleted.
