Today has been a good day because...

Mark and I went on a visit to a city we've not visited before.  (It didn't turn out to be a nice as Poitiers) but we had a lovely Chinese meal, in a Chinese Buffet which seem to be popular here.  11.50 euros and you can eat as much as you want...I wanted more than I could eat

We then found a garden centre and I decided to blow some money on some much need plants for the garden.  We bought 4 hydrangea's, blue and white, a jasmin, a Clematis, another climbing plant with autumn leaves in Autumn.  Some geraniums for the front of the house, some small bedding plants.  2 kiwi fruit plants (apparently you need a male and female!) and a mrtyle (blueberries, hope they taste nice) and another gooseberry to add to my one.

We still have some more to buy, as we've decided to put 3 large shrubs in big containers to use as a bit of a screen between us and our horrible neighbour at the front of the house.  We're thinking they'll have to be evergreen, so we maintain privacy all year round.  I'm not keen on evergreens, but it seems the best idea.

See where the car port ends and then look back towards our neighbour's gate.  We think if we put 3 large shrubs at our end, leading out and away from the wooden pier, it'll give us some privacy, and maybe the dogs will see less to bark at.

HOW WAS YOUR DAY?

Less expensive than yours! lol!

I was also at work, so not as good as yours... hoping the evening will improve!

My day was pretty good too-been spring cleaning! Then decided it wasn't real worth it as we're having a wall built, and some radiators moved next week which will likley be messy. I'm one of these sad types who really don't have a problem doing housework. I'm a bit of a tidy person by nature, and can't abide having things disorganised.

After realising I was wasting my time, I moved on to do a bit more sorting of Brian's Dad's photos. We came back from Edinburgh with several boxes-a combination of work and family photos. Nowhere near as many as we expected-his Mum had lead us to believe that there were numerous boxes. Makes Iain's and my job easier, so not complaining!

Brian arrived home early from his week in London-with yet more bits for his model railway-I swear he tried to sneak them in.....
