just wondering if anyone has tried this? my friend recommended it and hopefully, i have an appt for next week.

the past couple of years i ve had one thing wrong after another healthwise and i m fed up with the gp route cos nothing seems to help.
it s always a case of 'keep taking the tablets' or 'sorry not much we can do' and i m fed up with it.

i feel as if i m missing out on a lot in my day to day life and am ready to try something new.

I haven't any knowledge or experience of it katie, but I really beleive that you need to go out there and see what works for you.  I am sure something different may help loads

Good luck with it. I haven't even heard of it, so can't offer any practical advice. But I hope it brings you some answers.

I have! I went to three sessions and truly believe it sorted my diary / wheat food issues.

I'm going to go back and get her to look at my cholesterol next. I have a history of high cholesterol in my family and although its come down I want to see if she can make further advances, so I don't have to take the medication (I refuse to) for life!

This is where I went - have a read:

I'd be interested to hear how you get on, too.

There are times when I feel like I've ALWAYS got something wrong with me (even though I don't often get infections, I'm so often "in the wars" one way or another), and it gets depressing   With me it's things like slipped disc in lower spine, a heel spur that refuses to go away, migraines, stuffed-up sinuses (for no apparent reason, I haven't had a cold), bowel problems etc etc etc.  It would be nice to have "just one week" free of aches and pains

ok here goes!  this is quite hard to explain but i ll try. feel free to add to this laura as you have been too..

i went on mon and seen sylvia the therapist.  we concentrated on a new routine for me to kick start me.  it s to do with your subconcious and feels weird as she holds your arm and asks questions. it seems to move of it s own accord as to whether the answer is yes or no.

e.g. do u feel constrained?    do u feel people don t understand how u feel?     are u sensitive?

so the upshot being a change in my day to day life where i was lacking in motivation and felt i had lost my way after such a long time being ill.

now i m getting up (much) earlier and bed at a reasonable hour (not at 2,3,4 am after playing pc games!).

2 20min walks per day tho i have only managed one a day and a wee walk to my daugters or shop.

no diet coke, no white bread and only 2 cups of tea per day. wam water at other times.

also less time online.  i know these things seem simple but i think i just needed someone to pull it all together for me.

i was quite emotional at points but whether this was because i was pinning hopes on it or not i m not sure.

anyway, i do feel better even for just doing something and hopefully (as kathy says) the clocks changing will help too.

it s up to me if i want to see her again but if i do it wont be for 2mths as she doesn t live here.

Sounds interesting, and if it's given you some ideas, then that's good. Think the more regular bedtime and walks will help you feel more refreshed and motivated. As the weather improves, you can gradually build them up too. Not so sure about drinking warm water-I have a friend who does this, but it's not very appetising! Would some of the herbal teas not be a good substitute?

I quite enjoy some of them-although there's one called "revitalising" which I love, but which makes everyone else shudder! It contains rooibos, which is pungent, to say the least!

From my own understanding of the mind body connection, we often hold emotions in our bodies somewhere, (for me in my back, neck and head).  So, I am not surprised your arm seem to respond to the questions.

It's difficult when you're "in it" to see what needs to be done....and of course, all of these things changing will make a massive difference (I am sure) to your overall well being

i was quite emotional at points but whether this was because i was pinning hopes on it or not i m not sure.

Pleased to hear that you were emotional, it tells me she was hitting the spot and making good connections for you and your body.......

anyway, i do feel better even for just doing something and hopefully (as kathy says) the clocks changing will help too.

I hope you do see her again, after a 2 month gap...it would be good for you to get feedback from her on how your body feels after all the changes, and for you to tell her how well you;re doing.

Sounds exciting...will llok forward to hearing how you're progressing
